Branch Post Office Evaluation & Interaction with GDS by CPMG sir
A programme on Branch Post Office Evaluation and Interaction with
Gramin Dak Sevaks was conducted under the guidance of Ganesh
Sawaleshwarkar, Chief Postmaster General, Gujarat Circle on 24.04.2026.
The session provided an opportunity for direct interaction with Gramin Dak
Sevaks and focused on enhancing branch office performance.
IP Induction Trainees actively participated in the programme and
gained valuable real-life exposure to field operations. The session helped
them understand the challenges faced by GDSs and learn practical methods
of motivating and encouraging them to achieve departmental targets.
During his address, the CPMG emphasized the importance of the
Expenditure Coverage Ratio (ECR) as a key indicator of the Department’s
financial health. He encouraged all stakeholders to focus on revenue
generation through postal products and services to improve ECR and
strengthen the sustainability of India Post.
