Hands-on Simulation Session for Sorting Assistant Trainees
A Hands-on Simulation Session was conducted for the Sorting
Assistant (SA) Trainees at PTC Vadodara to provide practical exposure to
mail processing and sorting operations. The session was designed to
simulate real working conditions and help trainees understand the
operational procedures followed in Mail Offices and Railway Mail Service
(RMS) units.
During the exercise, trainees performed various activities related to
mail sorting, bag handling, mail dispatch and receipt procedures. The
simulation enabled them to apply their classroom learning in a practical
environment and gain a better understanding of workflow management,
accuracy and efficiency in mail operations.
The session enhanced the trainees’ operational skills, confidence and
preparedness for their future responsibilities as Sorting Assistants, making it
a valuable component of their induction training.
